Cosmetic Injections FAQ's

Do cosmetic injections hurt?

Most patients report cosmetic injections as virtually painless. We perform our cosmetic injections with very fine needles that allow for precision and provide maximum comfort. In some cases, the injections themselves have an anesthetic component mixed in, and for others, we can use a local anesthetic to increase comfort as needed.

Can I combine dermal fillers with muscle relaxers?

By combining dermal fillers like Juvéderm with muscle relaxers like BOTOX®, we can achieve dramatic results that wash years off your face. We often recommend a combined approach for comprehensive results.

How long do the results last?

The results vary based on the product used and how fast your body absorbs it. Most products range from 10 months to two years, and further treatments are available to maintain your look.

Is there any downtime after a cosmetic injection?

Cosmetic injections are known for being minimally-invasive and requiring no downtime. You will walk out of our clinic and back to your life without interruption after receiving cosmetic injections.

Are cosmetic injections safe?

All of the products we provide at the Center for Aesthetics and Plastic Surgery in Michigan are FDA-approved and clinically tested as safe. While some minor side effects do occur, they tend to resolve themselves within a week. Major complications are extremely rare.

How do I avoid getting a “frozen” look?

The best way to get natural results that don’t leave you looking “frozen” is to choose the right clinic. A poorly-trained specialist can make mistakes that make you look “worked on.” At the Center for Aesthetics and Plastic Surgery, our staff are veterans and know precisely how to provide natural and beautiful results.

How long does it take to get cosmetic injections?

Most treatments take 10-15 minutes, though it can take up to 30 minutes if you are getting a comprehensive treatment that involves multiple products.
