What can I expect during an RHA treatment?
The first step is treatment is a consultation at the Center for Aesthetics and Plastic Surgery with our specialists, where you will discuss your unique skin care concerns and goals, and decide on the right filler for you from the RHA Collection.
The treatment itself is quick and relatively painless. An ultra-fine needle or blunt-tipped cannula is used, which minimizes discomfort during your treatment. Treatment time is short, generally about 15-30 minutes. Patients describe a minor stinging sensation, but do not complain of the treatment being painful.
Once the treatment is complete, you can get right back to your life with no downtime. Our specialists will provide a cooling agent to apply to treated areas immediately following the procedure. Some patients may experience limited potential swelling and bruising; however, this should last no longer than a week.
Am I an ideal candidate for RHA fillers?
You’re a good candidate for RHA fillers if you an adult over 22 years of age with moderate to severe facial lines, wrinkles, folds, and loss of facial volume. You should avoid RHA fillers if you have a history of severe allergic reactions, are allergic to lidocaine, have a bleeding disorder, or are pregnant.
